Been a while...

Well, it's been a while since I've had a chance to stop and try to post something. It's been an interesting few weeks. I don't like to talk about business in the blog but, that has dominated the past few weeks. Two weeks ago, I had to do the toughest of jobs and that is to fire someone. I had one employee misrepresent The Army and it was necessary to make the change. Now, the change will be a good one but, the fallback from this is greater than just letting an employee go. Her mom and dad were two of our most faithful soldiers and as you might imagine, they have decided not to attend The Corps anymore. So, needless to say, that is not the desired results but we firmly believe God will be honored and The Army will benefit from this change. We've spent the last couple of weeks getting ready from Kettles which started on Friday and through the first two days we are ahead over $1,100.00 from last year. This week will be nice. We are going to spend Thanksgiving with some Officer friends and on Saturday, Georgia will roll Tech as usual. B learned how to ride his bike over the weekend, now if he'll just quit being afraid of the occasional fall, he'll be alright. Oh, K also learned how to ride her bike this weekend. She almost beat her brother at it. This past Sunday, the DC was here for worship and our Corps Thanksgiving Dinner. We had a full house and a wonderful time of worship. The DC was very complimentary of our young people which made us feel proud considering how much we put into them. I went to the beat down of Auburn at the hands of the finest University System in America last week when Georgia kicked the tar out of the Tiger/War Eagles (whatever the heck they are)! Well, gotta work on some Kettle figures and averages. Life, never-ending! Later...
